Embellished Jeans and Ribbon Belt

Materials
*Ribbon yardage needed will depend upon the size and style of the jeans. For belt, measure waist of jeans through belt loops and add 6". Multiply that measurement by 2 to determine how much 1 1/2" and 7/8" ribbon is needed to make the belt. For hem of jeans, measure the bottom of one jean leg and add 12". Multiply that measurement by 2 to have enough 3/8" ribbon for both legs.

Instructions
  1. To make the belt, fuse 7/8" ribbon onto center of 1 1/2" ribbon. Loop fused ribbon through D-rings. Fold ribbon in half with D-rings at the center. Align edges and fuse layered ribbons together. Trim the cut end of the ribbons and add a line of fabric glue to assure the ends do not fray.
  2. Following manufacturers' instructions, Ka-Jink® a line of alternating fuchsia and light pink flower Ka-Jinker® Jems to the center of the belt. The flowers should be positioned so that they begin and end just past the belt loops on the front of the jeans.
  3. To trim hem of jeans, cut 3/8" ribbon in half so you have the same amount for both legs. Pin center of one ribbon length to the inside seam of one leg, about 1" from the bottom. Hold ribbon in place as you Ka-Jink® a row of alternating fuchsia and light pink flowers. The links should go through the ribbon and the jeans to hold the trim in place.
  4. Add Ka-Jinker® Jems all around the hem. Leave about 1" on each side of the side seam free of Jems. At the side seams, tie the ends of the ribbon into a small bow. Trim the ends of the ribbon and add a few Links to hold the bow in place.
  5. Additional Ka-Jinker® Jems can be added along the front and back pockets.
